Wellbeing

We are committed to supporting you in your time at University. Mental health support and advice is so important to a happy, healthy life at Uni and beyond.

Below are some useful links if you, or someone you know, needs to talk to someone to find out more about mental health support.

Crisis

If you feel that you're at crisis point, or you know someone else is, then it is important to get help.

Our Emergency Advice page and Health page have some good guidance and information.  Each university also has guidance for anyone who needs emergency support:

  • University of Kent
  • University of Greenwich

Mental Health

  • University of Kent Counselling Service
  • University of Greenwich Counselling Service
  • University of Greenwich Wellbeing Hub
  • Mind - a mental health charity committed to providing support and respect for those suffering with mental health issues.
  • Rethink Mental Illness - a charity challenging attitudes about mental health and changing lives.
  • Student Minds - is a student mental health charity supporting individuals and the university community to support each other and create change.
  • Students Against Depression - provides you with a calm environment and the resources to help you find a way forward - a website offering advice, information and guidance to those affected by low mood, depression and suicidal thinking.
  • Kent and Medway Talking Therapies - free, confidential counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) in Kent and Medway.

Student Groups

To engage with other students and make friends consider joining a wide range of student groups:

  • University of Kent
  • University of Greenwich

Chaplaincy

Both University of Greenwich and University of Kent offer non-judgemental, confidential support for students of all faiths or none.
