For those of you moving straight from school or college to university, it can be hard to know what to expect! Life at University isn’t quite like blockbuster movies, but here are our top 4 films to watch with your friends to get you in the mood.

  • Booksmart (2019) (15)  Leaving school

Booksmart is this year’s ultimate coming of age comedy about two students who have spent all their school life studying and focusing on getting into University instead of having fun. So, for one night the two best friends go out and party! Expect chaos, mayhem and drama in this film that is in the moment and fresh.

  • Pitch Perfect (2012) (12A) Finding your interests

Follow the journey of an inspiring music producer who accidentally joined an all-girl signing acapella group. Becca joins Barden University and joins her student radio, only find herself joining the Barden Bellas in a sing-off competition. Pitch perfect is a little bit crude, very cringy but most of all shows you how important societies are for finding friends.

  • Legally Blonde (2001) (12) Finding your feet

In an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, Elle Woods enrols herself to Harvard Law. She quickly finds the university lifestyle difficult and hard to adjust too, she realises it’s harder than it seems.  However, Elle does not give up and proves that when you study hard you can succeed. Yes, it’s tricky at first if you don’t feel like you fit in, but you’ll soon find your feet.

  • Thor: The Dark World (2013) (12A) Finding Greenwich

This one is a bit of a curveball. Why are we recommending this one? Well, Thor must battle the dark elves here at the Greenwich campus. It makes coming to University pretty awesome.
