Redwan’s work has created opportunities to bring students together to socialise and celebrate cultural events, having a positive impact on their student life.
Redwan is the President of the Asian Student Union which is a relatively new society, set up by him last year. He has been a very strong leader and driver for the growth of the group and it is now one of the largest societies at Medway campus with 142 members currently. He has organised many events for the group and ensures there are multiple to attend to each term.
Redwan is also innovative with his approach to running a society and has made the most collaborations with other student groups for events, including the Bangladeshi Society and Engineering Society. This has meant his events reach a wider audience, adding to the unity on Medway campus. Notable events this year include a FIFA tournament in the Deep End, Games nights and a Navrang event.
Redwan’s work has created opportunities to bring students together to socialise and celebrate cultural events, having a positive impact on their student life. Redwan has planned a roster of interesting events for rest of the academic year and he has built strong foundations for the society for it to be continued for years to come, after he graduates in the summer. And he has done this alongside his studies and employment which truly shows the dedication he has.
