The Islamic Society is the largest student group community on campus with 364 members this academic year. The group supports not only it's student members but also the Islamic staff community, taking a lead on supporting Friday Prayer on campus each week and attending the University Faith Forum as representatives of the Islamic student community.
In addition to this, Islamic Society run charity week each year to raise funds for charities including Islamic Relief and One Ummah, raising over £19,000 since 2023. Running such a large group is no easy undertaking and Islamic Society work tirelessly with support from GSU and the University to ensure their community is represented and has the best experience possible.
The Islamic Society is a long standing society with a consistent large number of members, continuous charity work raising thousands and involvement in University presence.
