Ava has delivered an exceptional level of impact across the University community over the past year. She joined the GSU Welcome Executive team in May 2025, helping shape the experience of new students arriving in September and January. By November 2025, she had also taken on a Front of House role at the Greenwich campus, providing daily support, guidance, and signposting to students. Alongside these responsibilities, Ava has excelled as President of K‑SOC, running regular activity for its 50 members and leading a standout campaign in the GSU Elections—all while completing her final year of study. Through countless student interactions, event delivery, and supporting other groups’ initiatives, Ava has contributed to projects and activities that have positively influenced thousands of students. Her dedication, leadership, and impact throughout the year are truly outstanding.
Ava works on the front of house team, where she is often the first point of contact for students engaging with GSU. In this role, she provides a friendly and professional presence, supporting students with their queries and helping them access the services, opportunities, and support available through the Students’ Union. She approaches her role with a welcoming and approachable attitude, ensuring students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help. By providing clear information and guidance, Ava plays an important role in shaping students’ first impressions of GSU and helping them feel connected to the organisation. Alongside her work on front of house, Ava also demonstrated ambition and leadership by standing as a candidate in the Officer elections. Through her campaign she engaged with students across the university, presenting ideas and advocating for issues that matter to the student community. Students benefit from Ava’s professionalism, approachability, and commitment to supporting others. Her willingness to step forward, take on responsibility, and represent students demonstrates both leadership and a genuine commitment to improving the student experience.
Ava has done a fantastic job as President of KSoc. She’s built a really engaged community, and it shows in how actively members get involved and connect with the GSU. Her energy and commitment have made a real difference to the society. Alongside this, she works as Front of House Admin at the Welcome Desk, where she’s always approachable, helpful, and welcoming. She greets everyone with a big smile and goes out of her way to support people. Ava is genuinely a huge asset to both KSoc and the wider university community.
Ava is a well-known student staff member who is always positive and happy to help the student community. She understands and works well with GSU as a whole and is always happy to help with additional responsibilities.
