Overview

Police Engagement & Fraud Awareness Session

The Asian Student Union is proud to host an engaging and informative session in collaboration with Kent Police – Medway Neighbourhood Task Force.

This session will introduce students to the My Community Voice platform, a community engagement tool designed to improve communication between residents and local police. Attendees will learn how to stay informed about local safety updates and actively engage with their community.

A key focus of the event will be financial fraud awareness, where officers will highlight common scams targeting students and provide practical advice on how to protect yourself. This is especially valuable for students managing finances independently.

In addition, the session will include an overview of police recruitment pathways, offering insight into career opportunities within law enforcement and the steps required to apply.

The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, engage directly with officers, and gain deeper understanding of community policing.

This is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Improve your awareness of personal safety
  • Learn how to protect yourself from fraud
  • Explore potential career pathways
  • Engage directly with local police

We encourage all students to attend and take advantage of this informative and interactive session.
