Bakewell Being's mission is to use the combination of creative and learning experiences to mutually improve mental health awareness, well-being and support through sharing the joy, benefits and skills that baking provides! Ella will be talking you through how to bake delicious cookies and talking some time to talk about mental health and how to deal with the stresses of University.


100g caster sugar

150g dark brown sugar

1 tsp salt (psstt… Kosher Salt looks fab in cookies!)

135g unsalted butter

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

200g plain flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

150g dark chocolate chopped

Handful of milk chocolate chips

You can also get creative and add your own choice of extras to the cookies, some examples are: citrus zest, chopped nuts or dried fruit!


For the Drizzle:

125g icing sugar

1 tsp warm water Flavouring of your choice


Large mixing bowl
