Overview

Join us in spreading joy and hope during Student Volunteering Week through the power of letter writing. From the 12th to the 16th of February, between 2-4pm daily, we're hosting a special event dedicated to supporting Post Pals, a remarkable charity that brightens the lives of terminally ill children in the UK by delivering letters, cards, and gifts.

Event Details:

  • Dates: 12th - 16th February
  • Time: 2-4pm
  • Location: The Hub
  • Supplies: All writing materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own special stationery or decorations to personalise your letters.

This event is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children facing challenging times. A simple letter can bring a smile, offer comfort, and remind these brave youngsters that they are not alone. By participating, you'll not only be contributing to a great cause but also experiencing the joy of volunteerism and the impact of collective kindness.

Why Participate?

  • Make a Child Smile: Your letters will directly support and uplift children who are battling serious illnesses, providing them with much-needed joy and encouragement.
  • Foster Compassion: Engage in an act of kindness that fosters empathy and understanding, reminding us of the power of human connection.
  • Connect with Peers: Meet and collaborate with other students who share your passion for making a positive impact in the community.
  • Be Part of a Community Effort: Join a nationwide movement of volunteers dedicated to supporting children and their families through challenging times.

We encourage everyone to join us, regardless of your writing ability. Whether you're an experienced letter writer or new to the craft, your words have the power to inspire and bring happiness. Our team will be on hand to provide guidance and ideas to help you craft thoughtful, uplifting messages.

Let's come together to write letters that lift spirits and create smiles. Your participation will not only brighten a child's day but also enrich your own life with the joy of giving. We look forward to seeing you there!
